Birthdays are one the most important days in ones life . On this day everything is just expected to be perfect; Well this is how it went for me too until the last couple of years.
The planning would begin months ago and while the days rolled by ;the dresses would be stitched , the cake ideas would be shown to the bakers , the party supplies would be en route to our home.
When the day finally arrived I would attend surprise parties ,play with my friends , and ensure that the party I was hosting was flawless. The guests would come pouring in bringing me presents of various shapes and sizes , have loads of fun and then they would leave with their goodie bags filled with surprises saying that the party was exemplary.
This is how it went until my eleventh birthday when only three of my friends and two of my cousins were supposed to tag along. We went to an archade and ate dinner and dropped my friends home where I cut the cake, well the decorations weren't massive but they were extremly elegant(my mom and aunt did it) .Later my dad took me for bowling . In the end it was great .The fun was just the same with less people.
Next birthday was nothing more than a surprise party organized by my friends and dinner with my family . This too wasn't much of a put off because I still felt that my day was special .
Entering into the teens my thirteenth birthday was not up to what I expected as I celebrated it within closed doors thanks to COVID lockdown . Surprisingly my anticipation wasn't as much as it used to be . The best part of it was the cake my mom baked (it was scrumptious ).My friends even the ones who moved to another city video called and wished me. Later I realized and I still do think that this was one of the finest birthdays that could have been put forward amidst the lockdown.
